Postmodernism? So bad architecture is now evil?

[–]Hambone3110 0 points1 point ago

Actually, if anything in the world could be used as evidence to argue for the existence of Satan, it would be postmodern architecture....

..."Lycanthropy"? Are they seriously suggesting that being a werewolf is A) a real thing and B) something that people voluntarily engage in rather than have forced on them by a combination of being bitten and the full moon? the same goes for Vampirism, are they seriously suggesting that there are real vampires out there?

What things do these people actually endorse as being permissible fun?? Is the very concept of fun sinful to them or something? Because between the DnD, rock music, heavy metal, video games, Halloween (which happens to be my birthday), Lord of the Rings and Meditation they're sort of listing some of my favourite things.

Got to agree with them on the Twilight movies, though. They got that part right.

Not to mention the levitation thing. I would question all this belief in fairy tales they seem to have, but... well.

Lycanthropy was what stuck out the most to me, too. At least some of the other things listed are actual things, but really? Lycanthropy?

Steampunk culture is alright at least.

Video games? Aw man, dang it!

[–]Raug 0 points1 point ago

Yoga really? Stretching your muscles is bad it leads to the devil. I mean at least video games contain violence.

Why do none of these twits know what freemasonry is. Freemasonry is the nice part of religion. They donate to charities and help the poor and underprivileged. Besides, you have to believe in a supernatural being to join...

No remote viewing? Better uninstall Teamviewer.

EDIT: Bonus points for calling out Scientology though.

But XTC is one of my favorite bands! :(

Heavy Metal, video games, LOTR, rock music...

Allright, Hell sure will be my "heaven", if you could call it.

These types of things crack me up. Years ago, in the olden days of the 90s, I went to an AC/DC concert. There was some fundie group outside the arena handing out pamphlets quoting lyrics to "Highway to Hell" and other songs, and basically saying Bon Scott (original lead singer of AC/DC) was on his personal highway to hell after he died because he sinned. It also said we were all going to hell for listening to AC/DC.

The thing I found ironic was that the opening band that night was King's X, a psuedo-Christian rock band. I guess they were going to hell also for associating with AC/DC.

No one... no one 'dabbles in' levitation. You can dabble in 'falling down a lot repeatedly' if you'd like but you don't dabble in 'levitation'.

They... they have to know these are fictional things. They have to!

And I don't just mean Harry Potter. How does Postmodernism bring someone closer to Satan? I have to know this!

Marihuana....

GOD DAMN IT. NUNS GET TO WEAR ALL BLACK BUT I CAN'T?

[–]TheGreatGoggles 0 points1 point ago

Cyberpunk? Raves? Videogames? ROCK MUSIC? What the hell, is this the 50s or something? If hell existed and all the people who do these things go there wouldn't hell be the greatest non-stop party ever? Save for the Twilight, I could skip out on that.... Do Twilight fans get their own personal hell where they have to go through culture rehab by watching things like LOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who?
