360° Aerial Panorama of, I believe, this picture. Not sure if Dragon Falls is the same as Angel Falls, but I'm guessing if not, they're both quite close to each other.

[–]migvelio 1 point2 points ago

Technically it is not, it is part of the Angel Falls though.

I'm fairly certain they are the same. If they're not, google needs to update their maps.

Here it is without that little watermark at the bottom. I 'made' and posted the image originally from the AirPano panorama a few months ago.

You know that feeling when you're browsing a porn site and you click on something that looks good, it loads and you start prepping to get things going but then you suddenly realize "Wait, I've seen this before..." and then you spend so much time wondering whether you watch too much porn or not that things never really get going and you have to abort and try something else?

That's what this is.

First thought was, "Where is the floating house?"

Hate to be that guy, but repost. And no, it's not Angel Falls.

This is a reason I find reposting acceptable for. If you don't check Reddit for a couple days at a time and come back to find a repost (unbeknownst to you), it's nice to be able to see it especially when it piques you.

Check it every day, well.. Then it can get in the way.

Looking at it from that vantage point totally makes it look like a huge meteor hit the earth at exactly that point. Does anyone know anything about the formation?

[–]aleppocone 6 points7 points ago

most probably the same basic way all waterfalls are made.

[–]singdawg 0 points1 point ago

probably

[–]WildVelociraptor 4 points5 points ago

That's not what happens when a meteor impacts the Earth. This is what happens when a meteor impacts the earth.

[–]kvikklunsj 1 point2 points ago

Where is this?

[–]Taonyl 2 points3 points ago

Its the Barringer/Meteor Crater

[–]AzMoo 0 points1 point ago

I wonder how many people base jump off that.

[–]saitrtbn 0 points1 point ago

the trail and the pool combine to look more like a sperm cell than a dragon.

[–]Gridless 0 points1 point ago

Question. This may be for /r/askscience but since it is relative to the picture, I will ask. Out of curiosity, could one jump into the waterfall and survive? Given the person jumped at the right angle and maintained presence in the waterfall all the way down? Anyway, just curious...

Shame on me, I see a lot of pics of my country here that I had never went to. Good to see some good appretiation here!

[–]BirdManOchoOcho 0 points1 point ago

I want to go to there.

[–]killthehighcourts[S] 0 points1 point ago

For comparison, here's Angel Falls for those who are curious
