I think it won't end this generation...although I know it's not technically a bear, we learned in school to call it "koala bear" - of course, we also learned that Pluto was a planet, and that Native Americans were "Indians".

It's so fluffy!! And it's ok.. I have a habit of calling them bears too. That's what I was taught to call them when I was younger. :)
