Something that was always really strange about this show to me was the similarities to the High School in my hometown.

Both are Bellevue (or Bellview in the show), we had a gentleman that was originally part of the football team decades ago, but he was injured during a game. He had brain damage from the accident and was mentally challenged and was employed by the school to be the Janitor. There were several move similarities, but I can't remember the details of the show anymore.

One could call this a valid examination of English language, actually. It always sounded strange to me to use an imperative for this. In German we usually say "Ich wünsche ihnen einen schönen Tag" ("I wish you a nice day") or versions of it. On the other hand I'm sure my language also has lots of forms that appear weird to non native speakers.
