I'd just like to summarize what I have seen in this thread, just to be sure that I have all the facts. First of all, a user named "ANAL_QUEEN" posts a picture of a dog attempting to have sexual relations with a girl's head with the title "How I feel seeing the amount of [private messages] I get after writing a dirty comment." "ANAL_QUEEN" also appears to maintain a blog about incest, and not in the "And during our session today I'd like to ask you to tell me about your childhood" sense of the word "incest." Some other bullshit also happened. Using deductive reasoning, it seems likely that "ANAL_QUEEN" is actually a man who enjoys receiving sexually suggestive private messages from other men and therefore also being humped in the head by dogs.

I'm sure there's some point to be made about the use of the word "whore", but personally I just hate the phrase. I've never begrudged someone for wanting attention and don't see why it should be a thing.

Because they typically derail otherwise pleasant conversations on the internet. Perhaps the word "whore" isn't kind, but that is the term that has been applied, they whore themselves out for attention.

In this case, you're talking about a user who has a blog about incest, and who brags about her comment karma and how awesome it makes her. She got 1400 submission karma for complaining about people talking to her when she makes a bid for attention.

The whole "I can tool this community, because they're desperate virgins" bit is really fucking annoying.

Now, apply that shit to a LARP or any other community. Imagine. You show up. You want to play a game. Some girl bids that she has tits in every single physical challenge, or wears nothing but a thong and a bra to give herself a social advantage, despite only holding like 3 social traits and 3 negative social traits in Vampire: The Masquerade.

People need to not reward this behavior, because it derails the planned activity, gives some participants an unfair advantage, and, basically, ends in nobody but the attention whore having fun at the expense of everyone else present, and especially the dignity of those who will give her what she wants.

So, yes, it should be a thing. Not to mention that it's not female-specific.

I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape over what other people do when it isn't harming anyone or anything. This is her thread, her discussion. I mean, her initial post was probably literally illegal, given that it was posted to /r/incest and that the corresponding tumblr was taken offline.

This isn't a party or a bar, not that that matters since even in those places no one is forcing your attention on anything you don't want to pay attention to. If you don't like something, and it's not hurting anyone, then just look the other way / do something else.

And I'm not defending her at all. This is the first time I've even seen her username. But being a sexual deviant isn't one of my pet peves. The phrase "attention whore" is.
