I love Penn, but this has been reposted so many times it's annoying. His statement is probably not even true. We probably would still end up with "Gods" just different ones. Religion is something humans create to make sense of the world. IMOP

Also, one more thing about Penn, have you ever tried to watch his youtube videos.. holy shit! I can't. Unless I want to induce a seizure. I do like his magic act and his Bullshit or not shows.
